Integrations Guide

Last updated: March 2019

This guide covers all of the integrations available in the Clarity Analytics platform. We support connections to a wide range of third-party tools and data sources, making it easy to bring all of your data into one place for unified reporting and analysis.

Database Connections

Clarity currently supports direct connections to MySQL 5.6 and PostgreSQL 9.4. Support for additional database engines is planned for a future release. To connect a database, navigate to Settings and select Add Data Source from the dropdown menu. Enter your host address, port, database name, and credentials, then click Test Connection to verify the setup before saving.

Spreadsheet Imports

You can import data from Microsoft Excel 2010 and later, as well as from Google Sheets via manual CSV export. Automated Google Sheets sync is not yet available but is on the roadmap for Q3 2019. To import a spreadsheet, click Import File from the Data Sources screen and follow the on-screen instructions. Files up to 10 MB are supported.

Webhook Support

Outbound webhooks allow Clarity to push data to external systems when a dashboard alert is triggered. Configuration is available under Settings > Notifications > Webhooks. Enter the target URL and select the events you wish to subscribe to. Note that inbound webhooks for receiving data are planned for a future release, tentatively scheduled for early 2020.

API Access

The Clarity REST API is currently in beta. Documentation is available at our developer portal. Please note that the API may change without notice during the beta period. We recommend checking the changelog regularly for updates. API keys can be generated from your account settings page under the Developer tab.
